I just bought these two chairs and was pleasantly surprised by how attractive they are for the price. I included closeup pics of the chair and fabric, along with how they look in the room because it is so annoying when reviewers cover the furniture they are reviewing with throws and pillows. The fabric is a light grayish-blue, linen-like texture. It feels and looks like a cotton blend. I love the sleek, black metal frame and the wood arms are a nice touch. The chairs were simple to assemble, although attaching the seat and back cushions could have been easier. There was nothing on the cushions to indicate where the screws should go. If they can be screwed in anywhere, that should be mentioned in the instructions. If there are specific places to screw them, maybe that should be indicated on the cushions with stickers or pencil marks or something. Both of my chairs came with damage to the wood on the right arms even though they shipped at different times. That was not a problem for me because I do a lot of DIY. I removed the arms, sanded them, applied more walnut stain, then re-attached them and they looked great. If the wood arms keep getting damaged in transit, the manufacturer should remove them and wrap separately. They are easy to attach. If these chairs hold up, they will be my best purchase of the year. They are a great example of clean, minimalistic design and are quite comfortable as well.
