TL;DR:Need a cheap, comfy, easy to assemble, office chair with basic features? This is it.Picture this:You're a secretary at an office. You process paperwork and drink coffee all day long, 5 days a week. Your company is old and you've been given an even older office chair from the 70's to sit on. Not a scrap of padding to be seen anywhere on the chair. Horribly uncomfortable to sit on for more than an hour.You complain to your boss over and over and finally he budges. He'll get you a new chair. Weeks pass, and finally, this baby comes in the mail.The assembly instructions are only about 5 pages. Pictures and written instructions to make it clear what to do. It included the necessary tools and fasteners. All in all, I had the chair assembled in about 15 minutes or less.The seat is extremely comfortable to sit on for long periods of time. The foam is especially firm so that you won't sink all the way to the hard plastic bottom of the chair.The back rest is a plastic ring connected to the base of the chair seat. The back rest is filled out by a fabric mesh. It's not super premium cushy foam wrapped in ultra deluxe Casmir leather, but it works. Unlike a foam and fabric back rest this rest won't prevent you from leaning all the way in. The most striking feature of this chair is the adjustable lumbar support.The lumbar support bar is a barrel shaped plastic sheet that can be moved up and down the length of the back of the chair. Unlike most lumbar support designs that have a loose ratchet clamping the support piece in place, this chair has a pair of ridged bars to ratchet the lumbar support into place and keep it in place. This one will not fall back down simply because you moved too much or you wiggled your back wrong.The arms have a little foam strip running almost the whole length of them. They're not the most comfortable ever but they'll keep you cozy while you bang out your taxes or paperwork. The arms are also adjustable up and down. They friction-lock in position so you can sit your arms at some really intense inclines. LOL. They also fold up inline with the back of the chair to get out of the way if you'd like.The casters are extremely easy to redirect. Normally when I've been sat in a position for a little over 3 hours I can't simply back my chair up. With this chair, even if the casters are embedded in some ruts, they glide and move simply and easily.The chair leans back a little. I wouldn't nab this chair if you're looking for a reclining office chair. The chair also raises up and lowers quite standardly. It should fit all conventional desks.Over all very satisfied. Cheap, but not cheaply built.I was looking for something that wouldn't break the bank (less than $200), but would still offer comfort and stability. This chair fits the bill. I'm 5'2" and the chair adjusts well to provide a comfortable seat height and seat back. I like that I'm able to flip up the arm rests enabling me to pull up as close as I'd like to my desk (and push the chair all the way in when I'm away).The chair was easy to assemble. Did by myself in...I forget...10-15 minutes? I've used the chair daily for the past two months since purchasing it and it has held up well and thus far is showing no signs of wear and tear.5 STARS - It's solid, comfortable, easy to assemble, product was delivered without a hitch, and the price is right.I like that this chair is easy to assemble, and looks nice. More importantly it's not too large but it gives me the lumbar support I was looking for. I do like that the arms can be positioned so that the chair tucks closer to my desk when it is not in use. I use it in an office that has a murphy bed. When the bed is in use the chair tucks neatly closer to the desk. I have short legs and I lower the chair to the lowest setting so that my arms are at 90 degrees to the pull out keyboard and mouse that is tucked under my desk. I only wish the seat was a tad deeper. But I chose this chair because I needed the back support and having the shorter seat allows me to take advantage and truly use the back as it is intended.POV: You're a 30-something millennial who started working from home during COVID. You started at your dining table, then acquired your husband's hand-me-down WFH chair that was more than warn out. You want a new chair to use for about a year while building a new home with a formal desk - at that time you'll splurge for something nicer.This chair is just okay. It does the job. I'm 5'7" and it's actually pretty tall! I have it on a lower setting. It's fine, albeit a little hard. Ergonomics are.. well they call them ergonomics but it's really just how the chair is - I wouldn't call it overly ergonomically friendly. The armrests are my biggest peeve - the fabric is cheap, and as someone else mentioned a bit rough. If I ran my elbows across them too quick, I'd get carpet burn. Also, I've used the chair for exactly two weeks and the padding is already a tad flattened where I rest my arms (which is on the very back edge of the armrests - they're a little forward IMO).The chair is HARD. I'm moving around by the end of the day, trying to get comfortable. Maybe it needs to be broken in more, but I think that's just what it is.This chair will get me by, but I wouldn't order it again or recommend it for a quality, permanent solution.I started a new work rom home job sitting at my desk and working at my computer. Although I consider this a dream job I began to develop low back pain. I tried to sit on memory foam, then added memory foam behind my back; it helped for a while but was awkward. I found this amazing chair on amazon and the back pain disappeared the fist day.This chair supports my back and is very easy to assemble. There has been some miscommunication between the seller and I with regards to a free lumbar pillow that comes with the chair, but the seller made up for that and offered me a refund. I like the way the seller handled the issue, so I would recommend him.Really nice chair. It was simple to assemble and comfortable. Fits my home office space perfectly. Adjustable lumbar support is a great feature too. I'm very happy with this purchase.Super good
