Update July 2020 - I can no longer recommend this chair. I bought my 4th one in January and the seat is totally gone after half a year. The price on this chair keeps going higher while the seat lasted less and less time. I'm done. This is too much money for this bad of a performance. I'm only 5'4" and weight in the 140s (lbs), even a chair that doesn't cost a grand should last a bit longer than this. It's clear this company is using worse cushion material compared to a decade ago. It's very disappointing as I was happy with this chair previously overall. I wish someone would sell a chair like this where you can just buy a new seat part every year. It's really the only part of the seat which wears out anytime soon.Update - I stand by my review. I've had this chair for 3 years now and just bought a new one (and gave this old one to my husband). At this point, the cushion has started to collapse but I could have gone for maybe another year if I wanted. I did shop around just to see if there was anything better on the market since 2013 in this price range and I could not find anything. I was happy that this chair is even a little cheaper since 2013. Honestly I think this chair is really a great value in a market with tons of ludicrously overpriced office chairs.I love this chair. I was worried about spending so much, but it absolutely worth it (anything up to around 160 is worth it). I had a pretty leather chair I got around 100 that lasted me several years until the cushion totally collapsed, which I thought was fair since I usually am in my office chair 10-18 hours a day, 7 days a week. I couldn't find anything quite like it at that price point when I went shopping, so I decided to cheap out and get one for 50 that had pretty good reviews. BIG MISTAKE - the cushion collapsed on me in ONE WEEK and then I couldn't afford to get another one for many months so I had to put up with it. Eventually I realized that cheap chair was literally causing me to have hemorrhoids. So I looked around again and took a chance on this one. This is the best office chair I have EVER sat on. The cushioning is soft but firm, and it's much thicker foam than you usually see on office chairs, more like a couch cushion. I have worked at some places that had big budgets (bigger than mine) to buy really nice office chairs, and this one is better. It is really solidly constructed, but very easy to put together. Since it's heavy, you might like to have another person help you put it together though, but it's very fast. No squeaky noises from parts that don't fit right. Tons of adjustability. Bigger than average, though if you are a very big or overweight person (like maybe over 300 lbs?), it may not seem big enough for you. I'm a fairly petite female and can comfortably sit cross-legged in it. I don't think you can get a better chair at this price point, or even for three times as much. Sure, I wish I had a grand or two and could get the nicest chair you can buy, like Concorde or Gunlock, since I spend so much time at the computer, but I'm sure like for 99.9% of people, it's just not feasible.I have had it for several months and the cushioning has gone down a little, but not very much. I feel like the chair might last me several years again, and I find that acceptable. You have to have realistic expectations about what is still a very cheap-end office chair. If you are 240 lbs, the chair is going to break down faster than if you are 110 lbs. If you sit in the chair 18 hours a day, it is going to break down faster than if you only sat in it 5 hours a day. I am hoping I can just replace the bottom instead of the whole chair, but even if that's not possible, I'll still feel like I bought my best chair yet. The only thing I would change is I wish the armrest was a little more padded. But I can always sew on something padded to go over it. I somewhat prefer chairs I can wipe down, rather than cloth, but it's still an attractive chair.
