I recently started working from home and needed to replace my 15 years old executive leather chair. The cushion has gone flat and after reading all the reviews and Q&As, I decided to purchase this chair. I have been using it for a few days now and its pretty good. I’m ADHD with disc issues in the typical L4/L5 section. I have to be comfortable or I risk bouncing around. So here we go:Packaging: shipping was advertised as Prime 3 days, and it arrived as promised and on time. Box had some weird red coloring on it and few rips and dents which caused me to panic just a bit. There were no visible damage on any parts of the chair. Everything was well packaged and protected.Assembly: took all the pieces out of the box and separated them based on the order of the instruction booklet. There were few screws included and tagged as spare parts… how awesome is that!? The assembly took a total of 10 minutes to complete from the time I pulled all the parts out of the box until I placed the last cap on the neck rest screw.Comfort: so far the seat itself is very comfortable and the back conforms to my back. I usually feel my buttocks and lower back starting to ache throughout the day, but with this chair, it has been smooth sailing with some exceptions.Issues: my chair has three problems that are not caused by the user during install or usage. These are the arm rests, the neck rest, and the seat level. Arm rests go all the way up to the side of the back and down to a 90 degree angle, they are not adjustable beyond going all the way up or down (advertised as such and no issues there,) but with my chair, there is an issue. My right arm rest is lower than the left causing a bit of imbalance when working and keep my right arm and wrist leveled. You can notice it as soon as you sit down or when you look at it. I tried to figure out where the screw is to see where to tighten it, but couldn’t locate anything. Instead I found some rusty weld hidden behind the arm caps I popped open. Arms comes already attached to the back, so this is not a user issue during installation. The neck rest for someone like me who is 6’1 is not usable. The only way I benefit from it is when I'm on a casual call, I kick my legs up on my desk, slide down, lean all the way back, and then lean my head back a bit. If it was higher by or adjustable by maybe 5 to 10 inches, I would be happy and it would work for me. This option is useless when sitting down because it is lower than my neck regardless if I adjust it or not. Now jumping to the seat level. The seat rocks a bit to the right; the term tilt would be more appropriate to use here. Ok, so I noticed it right after I assembled it and sat down. I thought maybe I didn’t align the screws properly or did not tighten them properly. I’ve done it before, so I checked the screws and there was no wobble there, removed them and reinstalled them, still not the issue. Jumped to the wheels to make sure they all are popped in properly, yep, not the wheels. Basically where the seat meats the back is slightly bent that is causing the tilt to occur. No, it cannot be bent back because there is no screws to remove or space to grasp on to bend back.I kept the box and all the packing items because I have not decided yet if I am going to return it or not. It’s the hassle of taking it apart, re-packing, shipping it back etc. So we'll see, I’m under the return policy still and will decide based on how my body reacts to the leveling flaws. Do I recommend the chair based on my personal experience and opinion? If you can get one without the issues I mentioned, by all means, yes, I highly recommend it! This is a good chair, it is comfortable on the buttocks and the lower/back, budget friendly, looks great, keeps you cool all day long, not too heavy to move, and of course, assembly was a breeze. I hope my issues are isolated to only my chair otherwise, no, I do not recommend the chair. Also, this is not a massager if you were hoping for one lol (read the product description not just the title of the listing - glad I did.)I have not communicated with the seller nor Amazon, I simply wanted to write about my experience with this chair that I paid full price for 99.99 without being asked by anyone nor offered to be compensated. I base most of my purchases on reviews and this is my way of paying it forward. Good luck!Ordered this for my son and then me in Jan/Feb 2021. We spend several hours on them most days, they have held up beautifully and are still in great shape -- and the neck pain that came from sitting too much went away (but I am still sitting too much)I made my purchase less than two years ago for my at home office as I had a similar chair at my work office which was quite comfortable. There is a difference between the two which makes this chair uncomfortable. One, the seat part does not extend as far putting pressure halfway my thigh so I am always adjusting myself. Two, the armrest does not adjust in height prohibiting my arms to rest. last, the sit doesn't stay up so I am constantly raising it up. I am now on hunt for another chair. The head rest is not adjustable to move up so does not suit a person like me of height 5.10.However , overall the chair is great for those long working hours. It had a long tear on left hand rest, and the back seat had a white stain. I spent $225.00 and it came in a bad condition and it looked used. I asked for a new chair and ended up with a piece of crap instead. Look elsewhere. I want my money back! I didn't order a used chair, i wanted achair in good condition and new. It wasn't cheap.Better than a dining chair I was sitting on but it's very firm under one's backside and at the end of the day my tailbone aches. I wish the arm rests were detachableIt provides good support and feels like a quality chair. Gets a little stiff to sit on for prolonged hours but easy to use for 2-3 hours at a time. Quality seems pretty good after 3 months of use.
